Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas

Losing a loved one as a result of a traffic accident can have an overwhelming impact on surviving relatives. Quite often, families are forced to deal with towering financial burdens, overwhelming mental consequences, and pain and suffering. Regrettably, truck crashes in Texas take the lives of hundreds of victims annually.

In many instances, people die as a result of fatal truck crashes caused by negligence. Regardless of the laws in place to protect motorists, we continue to see innocent people lose their lives due to crashes caused by driver errors. Some leading factors in truck accidents include:

  • Truck drivers are often fatigued from long hours behind the wheel.
  • Drivers may be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Drivers may also be distracted by cell phones or other electronic devices.

If a truck driver’s negligence caused the death of your loved one, you might be able to file a wrongful death claim against the driver, the trucking company, or both.
