Truck Accidents in Texas

A truck crash can change your life forever in an instant. In the blink of an eye, you can suffer severe and debilitating injuries as a result of a negligent driver. Unfortunately, truck accidents take place every day in our state that take the lives of hundreds of people while leaving thousands more injured.

There are many instances where truck accidents are caused by acts of negligence. Truck accidents can be caused by drivers who are speeding, impaired, or engaging in other acts of negligence while behind the wheel.

In some instances, truck accidents are caused by companies who hire drivers without thoroughly inspecting their qualifications. Without doing adequate vetting before hiring a truck driver, a company runs the risk of hiring a person who is not qualified to operate the vehicle.

There are also cases where a brake failure or another mechanical failure took place on the truck. If the vehicle was not adequately maintained or inspected, the company that is in charge of the inspections and maintenance on the vehicle can be held liable. If the failure or mechanical issue is caused by a defective part or vehicle, the manufacturer or the retailer for the vehicle or the part can be held liable.

Additionally, if the truck accident was a result of a cargo shift or a spill, the company that is in charge of loading the trailer can be held liable.

It is important that your accident is thoroughly investigated. A truck accident lawyer in Austin will be able to review the circumstances surrounding your accident and determine who is at fault.
