Truck Accidents in Texas

Every year, thousands of people in Texas suffer severe injuries as a result of accidents. These accidents are one of the leading causes of injury and death. Some of these incidents involve commercial vehicles. Commercial vehicle accidents are more likely to occur for a number of reasons. Commercial vehicle crashes are largely caused by the following factors:

  • Distractions: Due to the pressure of meeting deadlines and making deliveries on time, commercial drivers are often distracted behind the wheel, which can increase their accident risk.
  • Fatigue: The risk of an accident increases when a driver drives for long hours.
  • Inadequate maintenance: The improper maintenance of a commercial vehicle can increase the risk of a vehicle accident.
  • Bad weather conditions: Bad weather conditions can make it more difficult to drive safely and can contribute to accidents.
  • Aggressive driving behaviors: When drivers are in a hurry or trying to beat traffic, they may speed or tailgate, which can lead to an accident.
