Bowie, TX – Bowie High School Student Killed in Truck Crash on TX-59 near Mill St

Bowie, TX (January 3, 2023) – A 16-year-old male from Bowie High School has lost his life following a truck crash that took place on Monday evening in Bowie, Texas. The incident was reported just after 5:30 p.m. on January 2.

According to reports provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 16-year-old male was waiting to turn onto Mill Street. As his vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Texas State Highway 59, he became involved in a head-on collision with a dump truck.

The teen suffered severe injuries in the crash. He was rushed to Nocona General Hospital for emergency care. However, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
