Truck Accidents in Texas

Truck accidents can have an overwhelming impact on the lives of those involved. Unfortunately, thousands of people in Texas are hurt as a result of crashes involving trucks and commercial vehicles every year.

Following your accident, you may be able to take legal action against the person who is responsible. Filing a personal injury case can help you recover financial compensation for some of the damages that you face. It is important that you are able to identify the parties that are liable for your pain and suffering. This can include:

  • The truck driver: If the driver was speeding, distracted, or otherwise negligent, they may be held liable for any resulting accidents.
  • The trucking company: If the company failed to properly maintain the truck or put an inexperienced driver behind the wheel, they could be held liable.
  • The manufacturer of the truck: If there was a defect in the design or manufacture of the truck that contributed to the accident, the manufacturer may be held liable.
  • The shipper of the cargo: If the cargo was improperly loaded or secured, it could shift during transport and cause an accident. The shipper may be held liable if this is determined to be the case.

A Dallas truck accident lawyer will investigate all potential sources of liability to ensure that their client receives the full compensation they deserve.
