Truck Accidents in Texas

A truck accident can leave you with severe injuries that negatively impact your life. Regrettably, thousands of people in our state are harmed as a result of these crashes every year. Following a truck accident, you may be able to pursue legal action against the person who is responsible. To determine who is liable for your injuries, you’ll need to look at the specific facts of your case. Some of the things that may be taken into account when determining liability in a truck accident case:

  • Who was driving the truck? If the driver was working for the company at the time of the accident, then the company may be held liable. If the driver was an independent contractor, then they may be held liable.
  • Was the truck properly maintained? If it is found that the company did not maintain the truck properly, then they may be held liable.
  • Was the driver following all traffic laws? If it is found that the driver was speeding or breaking other traffic laws, then they may be held liable.
  • Was there anything wrong with the road? If it is determined that poor road conditions played a role in the accident, then the government entity responsible for maintaining those roads may be held liable.

A thorough investigation can help to answer these questions so that you can take legal action against the responsible parties.
