Hockley County, TX – Two Injured in Truck Crash on FM 1585 near Chickadee Rd

Hockley County, TX (December 4, 2022) – A truck accident took place in Hockley County on Saturday morning that left two people injured. At around 11 a.m., on December 3, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a collision on Farm to Market Road 1585.

According to reports, a semi-truck pulled out in front of a pickup truck on Farm to Market Road 1585 in the area of Chickadee Road. As a result, the vehicles collided with one another. One person was ejected from the vehicle.

The victim suffered severe injuries due to the crash. The victim was airlifted from the scene of the accident to covenant Medical Center, where they underwent treatment for serious injuries.

A second victim received medical treatment at the scene. They later self-transported to a local hospital.

DPS is actively investigating the crash.
