Truck Accidents in Texas

A truck accident can change your life instantly. Unfortunately, thousands of commercial vehicle accidents occur in the state of Texas every year. Many of these accidents result in severe injuries for those involved. We see many people hospitalized with traumatic brain injuries, internal organ injuries, and other severe injuries that require extensive treatment and negatively affect their lives forever. Unfortunately, many of these accidents involve trucks that rollover.

There are many factors that can contribute to a rollover truck crash, but some are more common than others. One of the leading causes is overloading the truck beyond its weight limit. This puts undue stress on the tires and suspension, making it more likely for the truck to tip over if it hits a bump or turns too sharply. Another cause is improper loading, which can shift the center of gravity and make the truck top-heavy. This increases the risk of rollover if the truck makes a sudden stop or turn.

Speeding is also a major factor in rollover crashes, as it gives the truck less time to react to obstacles in its path. If a truck is going too fast when it hits a pothole or patch of ice, it could easily lose control and tip over.

Finally, driver fatigue can also lead to rollovers. Truckers who push themselves too hard to make deadlines may find themselves nodding off at the wheel. This increases the chances of missing a turn or obstacle in the road and crashing.
