Lubbock, TX – Luna Reyes Fatally Injured in Truck Crash on US-84

Lubbock, TX (December 13, 2022) – A 28-year-old woman has died as a result of a traffic accident that took place on Saturday morning in Lubbock County. On December 10, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a crash on US Highway 84 just southeast of shallow water, Texas.

According to reports provided by DPS, at around 12:30 a.m., 28-year-old Luna Reyes was driving north on US Highway 84 when her vehicle collided with a semi-truck that was traveling eastbound on the roadway.

Reyes suffered severe injuries in the crash. She was transported by ambulance to UMC, where she later passed away from her injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck, 43-year-old Jarrod Kitten, was not injured as a result of the accident.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the incident.
