Midland, TX – Derreus Malik Bryant Killed in Three-Vehicle Truck Crash on Highway 349

Midland, TX (December 18, 2022) – A fatal truck crash took place in the mid-land area that claimed one man’s life. Just before 7:40 p.m., on December 11, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a crash on Texas State Highway 349.

According to law enforcement, 25-year-old Derreus Malik Bryant was traveling north in a 2015 Nissan Altima on Texas State Highway 349.

At the same time, 28-year-old Travis Corvette Hall was driving a 1999 Kenworth truck pulling a trailer north on the highway. For reasons unknown, the vehicle was stopped on the inside lane of the roadway as the driver attempted to turn left into a private drive. For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided.

The Altima was then struck by a Buick Encore.

Bryant was fatally injured as a result of the crash.

At this time, the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
