San Antonio, TX – Big Rig Crash Reported on I-37 near Hot Wells Blvd

San Antonio, TX (December 23, 2022) – A truck accident was reported in the San Antonio area on Thursday that resulted in injuries. On December 22, the San Antonio Police Department responded to the site of a crash on Interstate 37.

According to law enforcement, just before 8 a.m., a big break was traveling on Interstate 37 when it became involved in a collision with a road rage driver near hot Wells Boulevard.

Preliminary reports show that the driver of a passenger vehicle drove in front of the big rig and slammed on their brakes. As a result, the semi-truck swayed, resulting in the door flying open on the vehicle in the driver being ejected.

The truck then ran off the roadway, struck a hatchback, and crashed into a home near Avondale Avenue.

The big rig driver and a female involved in the accident were both injured. The two victims were transported to area hospitals.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

We hope the two victims hurt as a result of this trash.

Truck Accidents in Texas

Aggressive driving behavior continues to be a leading cause of severe accidents here in the state of Texas. Unfortunately, when semi-trucks are involved in these accidents, there is a significant chance of severe injuries. When it comes to negligence and reckless actions, one of the most common causes of semi-truck crashes is drivers break-checking them. When a driver breaks sharply in front of a semi-truck, the truck driver may not have enough time to react and brake properly, resulting in a collision.

Another common cause of these types of accidents is when a driver attempts to pass a truck on the highway and cuts in front of the truck too closely. This can cause the truck to jackknife or lose control, leading to a serious accident.

If you have been hurt as a result of a truck accident, you may be able to recover financial compensation for some of the damages that you face. This includes compensation for:

Medical expenses: You can recover compensation for all past and future medical expenses related to your truck crash injuries. This may include hospitalization, surgery, rehabilitation, prescription medications, and more.

  • Lost income: If you missed time from work because of your injuries, you can seek compensation for lost wages. If you are permanently disabled and unable to return to work, you may be able to recover future lost earnings.
  • Pain and suffering: This is a type of non-economic damage that can compensate you for the physical pain and emotional suffering caused by your injuries.
