San Antonio, TX – One Killed in Big Rig Crash on Loop 410 near I-35

San Antonio, TX (January 6, 2023) – A fatal truck accident took place in the San Antonio area on Thursday afternoon that claimed one person’s life. At around 12:30 p.m., on January 5, the San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene of a crash that occurred on Loop 410.

Reports provided by police indicate that an 18-wheeler was traveling on the southbound side of Loop 410 when he became involved in a collision. The impact of the crash caused the rig to roll over onto its side in the area of Interstate 35. The truck then caught on fire.

Several people in the area rushed over to assist.

Two San Antonio Police Department Sgt. and several witnesses rushed over and were able to pull out the driver of the vehicle. The victim suffered injuries in the accident.

One person suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the San Antonio Police Department.
