Washita County, OK (January 8, 2023) – An 18-year-old was left with severe injuries following a traffic accident that took place near Burns Flat on Tuesday afternoon. On January 4, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Oklahoma Highway 44.

According to law enforcement, a 2013 Mack truck, which was driven by 55-year-old Mark Bookout, failed to stop at the intersection of County Road 1130 and Oklahoma Highway 44. As a result, the vehicle struck a 2000 Ford Fusion, which was driven by 18-year-old Kaylee Dudgeon.

Dudgeon was severely hurt as a result of the crash. She was airlifted from the scene and flown to Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she was admitted in fair condition.

Bookout was also injured in the accident.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
