Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas

Hundreds of lives are lost every year in our state as a result of fatal truck accidents. Unfortunately, a significant number of these accidents are completely preventable. We see innocent people die every single day as a result of crashes caused by speeding drivers, impaired drivers, and drivers who simply fail to yield others the right of way while traveling on the road.

After losing a loved one in a fatal crash, families are able to file a wrongful death claim against the responsible party. When commercial vehicles are involved in these accidents, filing a wrongful death claim can be incredibly complicated.

If the accident was caused by the negligence or recklessness of the truck driver, you might be able to hold them liable for your loved one’s death. You may also be able to sue the trucking company if they failed to properly maintain the truck or ignored safety violations. If the party who is responsible for maintaining the vehicle failed to do so in a responsible manner, they can be held liable as well. Additionally, if the parts on the truck were defective and, as a result, an accident ensued, you may be able to take legal action against the part manufacturer or another party.

Given the complexities of truck accidents, it is crucial that you seek legal guidance from a wrongful death lawyer in Austin as soon as possible if you are considering filing a wrongful death lawsuit. An attorney will be able to investigate the accident and identify what led to it taking place. They will then be able to take an aggressive legal approach on your behalf to ensure you are able to get justice.
