Mr. Simons was born in Wichita Falls, Texas to a proud Military family who taught him the values of duty, honor, integrity and dedication to excellence that he employs to fight for the rights of his clients.

He graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Cum Laude), B.S. in Computer Science (Cum Laude), and Masters in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude). He received his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he was a Member of The Texas Tech Law Review and graduated #7 in his class.

Mr. Simons has extensive experience and is highly skilled in Intellectual Property Litigation, Intellectual Property Licensing / Monetization, Patent Prosecution, Tech Transactions, M&A, Venture Capital / Private Equity Financing, Standards Setting Bodies, Trademark and Branding, and DOD / DOE Funded Research Programs. Over his 20+ year career, he has delivered exemplary results for numerous clients in the fields of semiconductors, cellular / wireless communications, consumer electronics, medical devices, software and cloud-based solutions, including several Fortune and Global 500 Companies.

Prior to joining Goudarzi & Young, Mr. Simons was the Head of Intellectual Property & Licensing of a $2 Billion semiconductor company based in San Jose, California, where he was responsible for all national and international intellectual property related matters, including a recent $68M jury verdict against a Chinese-based company for trade secret theft.

Mr. Simons brings the unique ability to understand complicated technology, business and legal issues to deliver a unique perspective to personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Mr. Simons is admitted to practice in the States Texas and California, as well as the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
