Truck Accidents in Texas

Truck accidents are a leading cause of severe injuries and death in the state of Texas. In 2020, more than 32,562 crashes involving commercial vehicles were reported in the state. These accidents led to more than 510 deaths and thousands of injuries. If you have been harmed as a result of a truck accident, you may be able to hold the trucking company liable for any resulting injuries and damages.

There are many factors that will play into whether or not you can successfully sue the trucking company, including:

  • The severity of damage and injuries sustained in the crash
  • Whether or not the driver was at fault
  • If the trucking company was aware of any maintenance issues with the vehicle
  • If the driver was following hours of service regulations

If you can prove that the trucking company was negligent in any of these areas, then you may have grounds to sue for damages. An experienced Kilgore truck accident lawyer will be able to help you determine if you have a case and what your best course of action would be.
