Fatal Truck Crashes with Pedestrians

It is no secret that pedestrians are already at a disadvantage when it comes to being involved in motor vehicle accidents. Pedestrians are at an increased risk of suffering severe to fatal injuries as a result of collisions. When semi-trucks and large commercial vehicles are involved in these accidents, the chances of fatal injuries are drastically increased.

Each year, hundreds of people lose their lives as a result of pedestrian accidents that take place here in the state of Texas. Quite often, these accidents are preventable. We see countless people die as a result of pedestrian accidents that take place due to drivers who are acting negligently while behind the wheel. This can include:

  • Drivers who are traveling too fast in order to make it to their destinations on time.
  • Drivers who failed to yield to pedestrians who have the right of way.
  • Drivers who are using their cell phones or are distracted by other means.
  • Drivers who are fatigued while operating their vehicles.
