Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas
Losing a loved one as a result of a fatal truck crash can be devastating. Unfortunately, hundreds of people die in our state every year as a result of these accidents. Accidents involving commercial vehicles are more likely to cause severe injuries due to the size and weight of the vehicles. It is important that responsible parties are in charge of operating commercial trucks. When the right to operate a commercial truck falls into the wrong hands, it can have disastrous consequences.
Each year, we see countless people die as a result of truck accidents resulting from negligence. Some of the leading factors in fatal truck accidents include:
Fatigued motorists: Fatigued motorists are a danger to themselves and other motorists on the road. It is important to take breaks often when driving long distances and to get plenty of rest before setting out on a long trip.
Speeding: Truckers are often pressured to meet deadlines. As a result, they may speed in order to make up time. This can lead to severe and life-changing accidents, especially if the trucker is not familiar with the road or conditions are poor.
Inadequate maintenance: Trucks require regular maintenance in order to keep them running properly. If a truck is not properly maintained, it can break down or have other problems that can lead to an accident.
