Truck Accidents in Texas

Truck accidents occur every day in the state of Texas that result in severe injuries. Unfortunately, we see countless people left with traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and even spinal cord fractures as a result of these accidents. In many cases, people are hurt in accidents with semi-trucks as a result of negligent motorists. In fact, a significant number of these accidents are caused by drivers who engage in reckless actions. Common factors include:

Distracted driving: Truck drivers are often required to drive for long hours, and this can lead to fatigue and distraction. When a driver is tired or not paying attention, they are more likely to make mistakes that can result in an accident.

Speeding: Many truck drivers exceed the posted speed limit in order to make delivery deadlines. This puts other motorists at risk, as well as the driver themselves.

Reckless driving: weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating, and other aggressive driving behaviors can all lead to serious accidents involving trucks.

Improper maintenance: Commercial trucks require regular maintenance in order to stay safe on the road. When a truck isn’t properly maintained, it can break down or have mechanical failures that lead to accidents.
