Fatal Truck Accidents in Oklahoma

Fatal truck accidents in Oklahoma take the lives of countless people every year. In many cases, these accidents are preventable.

One of the leading causes of fatal truck crashes in the state of Oklahoma is fatigued drivers. Truck drivers often have to remain on the road for an extended period. This can result in drivers becoming fatigued while behind the wheel. When a driver is fatigued, they may not be able to pay attention to the road as much as they should, and this can lead to accidents.

Speeding is another leading cause of fatal truck accidents here in our state. Truck drivers often have to travel long distances, and they may feel pressure to reach their destination quickly. This can lead drivers to travel at too high of a speed, which dramatically increases the likelihood that an accident will occur

Distractions are another common factor in fatal truck accidents here in Oklahoma. Truck drivers may be distracted by things like their phones, other passengers in the cab, or even the scenery outside the window. This distraction can take their attention away from the road, and this can lead to accidents.

When a truck crash results in the death of a loved one, it is important to know that you have options for filing a wrongful death claim. This type of claim can be filed against the truck driver, the truck company, the maintenance company, or the cargo company. Each of these entities may be held liable for the crash, depending on the specific circumstances.

To determine who is at fault for the crash and who to file your claim against, you will need to work with an experienced truck accident lawyer. They will investigate the crash and help you build a strong case against those responsible. Contact us today to get started on your case.
