Truck Accidents in Texas

No one is Everett able to prepare to be involved in a motor vehicle accident. Unfortunately, accidents happen every day in Texas that result in serious injuries. The chances of suffering catastrophic injuries are drastically increased when semi-trucks and commercial vehicles are involved.

Even the most careful driver can be involved in a crash involving a commercial truck in the state of Texas. There are many reasons why these accidents continue to take place day after day. Leading factors in truck accidents across Texas include:

Brake failure: When brakes fail, trucks can veer into other lanes or off the road entirely. This can be extremely dangerous, especially if the truck is carrying hazardous materials.

Shifting cargo: If cargo shifts while the truck is moving, it can throw the truck off balance and cause it to overturn or jackknife. This is particularly dangerous on highways where speeds are high, and there is little room for error.

Poor road conditions: Potholes, icy surfaces, and debris can all cause trucks to lose control and crash. Poorly maintained roads can be especially dangerous for larger trucks which have a harder time maneuvering around obstacles.
