Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas
Truck crashes take place every day in Texas that severely injure or kill people involved. Unfortunately, many of these accidents are a result of negligent motorists. If you’ve been negatively affected by a fatal truck accident, there may be legal options available to help your family move forward. It is important that a thorough investigation is performed to identify who is at fault.
There are a few key steps that should be taken when investigating a truck accident:
- Talk to all parties involved in the accident, including the drivers, witnesses, and any passengers. Get their account of what happened and take note of any inconsistencies.
- Review the police report to see if there is any additional information that can be gathered.
- Inspect the damage done to the vehicles involved. This can give clues as to how the accident happened and who may be at fault.
- Review any video footage of the accident, if available. This can help piece together how the accident occurred.
- Gather any other evidence that may be helpful in determining fault, such as skid marks or debris at the scene of the accident.
