Truck Accidents in Texas

The time after a truck accident can be incredibly confusing. Many victims are left with painful physical and emotional injuries that require extensive care. Trying to navigate the legal system after suffering debilitating injuries can seem nearly impossible.

Unfortunately, many innocent people end up suffering debilitating injuries due to drivers who are negligent. We see countless people harmed in crashes that are caused by drivers who are impaired by drugs or alcohol, speeding, or engaging in other negligent actions while behind the wheel.

If another person’s negligence has caused you harm, you may be able to file a personal injury lawsuit. This type of legal claim can help provide you with financial relief for some of the losses and damages that you face after your crash. A personal injury case can help you get money for your medical expenses, repairs for your vehicle, and various other costs and losses that you face.

After a truck accident, it is incredibly important that you are able to identify the liable party. Due to the complexity of these lawsuits, there are several people who can assume liability after causing a truck accident. Some of the most common defendants identified in truck crash litigations include:

  • The driver of the truck if they were speeding or engaging in a negligent action.
  • The trucking company if they engaged in reckless hiring practices.
  • The part manufacturer if the crash was caused by a defective part.
  • The maintenance company if the vehicle was not properly maintained.
  • The cargo company of the vehicle was not properly loaded.

It is important that you seek the assistance of a truck accident lawyer in Katy who can thoroughly investigate the accident and identify what led to it taking place.
