Truck Accidents in Texas

Truck crashes in Texas take the lives of hundreds of people annually. Thousands more are left with significant injuries that require medical care. If you have been hurt as a result of a truck accident, you may be forced to deal with overwhelming consequences. From dealing with painful injuries to suffering lost wages to being unable to return to work, the impacts of a truck accident are far-reaching.

If another person’s negligence has caused you harm, you may be able to file a personal injury lawsuit against the person who is responsible. In Texas, there are a few different parties who could potentially be held liable for an injury following a truck accident. The first is the truck driver. Truck drivers are required to follow certain safety regulations in order to help prevent accidents from happening. If a truck driver fails to adhere to these regulations and an accident occurs, they may be held liable.

Another party who could potentially be held liable for an injury following a truck accident is the trucking company. Trucking companies are responsible for ensuring that their trucks are properly maintained and that their drivers are properly trained and licensed. If a trucking company fails to do either of these things and an accident occurs, it may be held liable.

Lastly, the manufacturer of the truck or its parts could also be held liable if an accident occurs. If there is a defect with the truck or one of its parts, and that defect contributes to an accident occurring, then the manufacturer may be held liable.
