Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas

Losing a loved one in a fatal car crash can have an overwhelming impact on your life. Many families struggle to move forward. Unfortunately, hundreds of people die as a result of commercial vehicle accidents in our state every single year.

The death of a loved one is always a difficult time, but when the death is the result of another person’s negligence, it can be especially devastating. If you have lost a loved one due to someone else’s negligence, you may be able to file a wrongful death claim to recover damages.

Funeral expenses and burial costs are often the first things that families think about when they are dealing with the death of a loved one. These costs can add up quickly, and if you are not prepared for them, they can be overwhelming. Luckily, if you file a successful wrongful death claim, you may be able to recover these costs from the responsible party.

In addition to funeral expenses and burial costs, you may also be able to recover damages for the loss of services that your loved one provided. For example, if your spouse was the primary breadwinner in your family, you may be able to recover damages for the loss of his or her income. Alternatively, if your parent was always there for you when you needed him or her, you may be able to recover damages for the loss of that emotional support.

Finally, you may also be able to recover damages for any emotional distress that you have suffered as a result of your loved one’s death. This can include things like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. If you have suffered any of these symptoms after losing a loved one due to someone else’s negligence, you should speak to an experienced wrongful death lawyer in Midland as soon as possible.
