Canton, TX – Truck Crash on I-20 Takes Woman’s Life

Canton, TX (December 15, 2022) – A woman was left fatally injured following a crash that took place in Canton on Tuesday morning. At around 8:30 a.m., on December 14, the Texas Department of Public Safety out of Van Zandt County responded to a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 20.

According to reports, a tire blowout resulted in a box truck crashing on Interstate 20 during the morning hours. The vehicle went off the side of the roadway and struck a tree. The truck was identified as a 2015 Freightliner box truck.

The driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Jennifer N Aparicio, was fatally injured. Authorities responded to the scene and pronounced her dead.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the crash.
