Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas

Every year, truck accidents take place in the state of Texas that have devastating impacts on the lives of those involved. Unfortunately, we see hundreds of people lose their lives as a result of truck crashes in our state every year. In many cases, these accidents are caused by negligent parties.

One of the most common causes of fatal truck accidents is negligent hiring practices. Trucking companies are often under pressure to fill positions quickly, and as a result, they may not take the time to properly vet their applicants. This can lead to inexperienced or unqualified drivers getting behind the wheel of a big rig, which can be a recipe for disaster.

Another common cause of deadly truck accidents is reckless driving. Truckers often have to meet tight deadlines, and this can lead them to take risks on the road that they wouldn’t normally take. Speeding, tailgating, and other aggressive driving behaviors can easily lead to an accident involving a tractor-trailer.

Finally, mechanical failures can also be a contributing factor in fatal truck accidents. Big rigs are complex machines with thousands of moving parts, and if any one of those parts fails, it can cause an accident. Tires blowing out, brakes failing, and engine problems are all potential causes of deadly crashes involving commercial trucks.
