Truck Accidents in Texas
There are few things worse than suffering debilitating injuries as a result of a truck accident. Unfortunately, thousands of people are left to deal with these overwhelming consequences every year in our state. After being hurt in a truck accident, you may be able to file a personal injury case to recover financial compensation for the damages that you face.
There are many different parties that could potentially be held liable for a truck accident. The most likely liable party will be the truck driver, but other potential defendants could include the truck owner, the trucking company, and even the manufacturer of the truck or its parts. If it can be shown that any of these parties were negligent in their duties, then they may be held responsible for damages resulting from the accident.
Determining fault after a truck accident can be incredibly challenging and time-consuming. There are several factors that can contribute to the crash taking place. If the driver was speeding, under the influence of drugs, or using their cell phone while behind the wheel, they will likely be found negligent. However, even if the driver was not directly at fault for the collision taking place, there are several other parties who can be held liable.
If the owner of the truck failed to implement proper maintenance practices, if the trucking company failed to hire a responsible driver, or even if the cargo company loaded the trailer inadequately, these parties can be held liable for their actions or inactions.
