Fatal Truck Accidents in Oklahoma

As with any car accident, there are numerous factors that will contribute to who is ultimately found liable for a fatal truck accident. These can include speeding, driver fatigue, drug or alcohol use, equipment failure, and more. However, because trucks are much larger and heavier than passenger vehicles, the potential for serious injury or death is much greater.

In many cases, the trucking company will be held liable for a fatal accident involving one of their trucks. This is because they are responsible for ensuring that their drivers are properly trained and rested, that their trucks are in good working order, and that they are following all applicable traffic laws. If it is found that the trucking company was negligent in any of these areas, they can be held liable for damages.

Similarly, the manufacturer of the truck or its parts may also be held liable if it is determined that a defect was responsible for the accident. For example, if a tire blowout caused the accident, the tire manufacturer could be held liable.

Ultimately, it will be up to the courts to decide who is liable for a fatal truck accident.
