The party or parties responsible for a fatal truck accident can vary depending on the circumstances. In some cases, the driver of the truck may be held liable if it is found that they were driving recklessly or negligently. If the truck was improperly loaded or maintained, the company responsible for those duties may be held liable.
In other cases, liability may fall on the shoulders of the company who hired the trucking company, if it is found that they did not properly vet the company or ensure that their drivers were qualified.
