El Paso, TX (January 11, 2023) – A truck accident was reported in the El Paso area on Monday morning that resulted in injuries. On January 9, the Texas Department of Public Safety was notified by the Texas Department of Transportation that we were needed at the scene of a traffic collision that occurred on US Highway 54.

According to law enforcement, a semi-truck was involved in a collision on US Highway 54 in the area of Fred Wilson Avenue the impact of the crash caused the truck to roll over, scattering broken glass across the roadway.

The DPS closed off the road for an extended period and redirected traffic off of Hercules Avenue.

Emergency crews spent an extended period of the scene of the accident as they worked to clear the road. At least one person was hurt in the car crash and had to be transported to a local hospital for medical care.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is actively investigating the incident.
