Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas

At least one fatal truck crashes is reported in the state of Texas every single day. These incidents add up to hundreds of people dying as a result of truck crashes in our state each year. There are many cases where innocent people are fatally injured in crashes that are caused by reckless, negligent, and careless motorists.

There are several acts of negligence that continue to cause fatal crashes in our state. One of the most common factors in fatal truck crashes is distractions. We see many accidents caused by truck drivers who are using their CB radios could communicate with others. We also see an increasing number of accidents take place as a result of drivers who are talking or texting on cell phones. Eating and drinking while behind the wheel can also contribute to an accident taking place.

In addition to distractions, many truck crashes are caused by fatigued drivers. When drivers are too tired to operate their vehicles, they are likely to drift into other lanes of travel and strike nearby vehicles. It is no secret that truck drivers are in a hurry to make it to their destinations on time, which can increase the chances of them becoming tired or falling asleep while behind the wheel.
