Truck Accidents in Texas

Truck crashes in Texas take the lives of hundreds of people each year. Thousands more are left with significant injuries that require medical care. If you have suffered injuries as a result of a truck accident, you may be able to take legal action against the person who is responsible.

Filing a truck accident claim can help you seek financial compensation to cover some of the damages that you face. Here in Texas, crash victims are able to recover compensation for some of the following damages:

  • Medical Expenses: If you’ve been injured in a truck accident, you may be able to recover compensation for your medical expenses, both past and future. This can include expenses for hospitalization, surgeries, medication, rehabilitation, and more.
  • Lost Wages: If your injuries have kept you out of work for any time, you may be able to recover lost wages in your lawsuit. This can include lost income from missed work as well as lost earning potential if your injuries have caused long-term or permanent disabilities.
  • Pain and Suffering: Many truck accident victims are also able to recover non-economic damages for pain and suffering. This type of compensation is provided to victims to address the physical and emotional anguish that can be caused by serious injuries.
  • Loss of Consortium: In some cases, spouses or other close family members of truck accident victims may also be able to bring claims for the loss of consortium. This type of claim is based on the loss of companionship, love, and support that results from an injury that prevents the victim from leading a normal life.
